Why balance and cost start blank
Character prices and other Shard costs can change. A blank field requires you to read the current live value and is safer than a stale hard-coded number copied from an older patch.
Why protect a reserve
A reserve keeps part of the balance outside the calculation. Decide what future quest, character, or update need that reserve protects before increasing the amount you are willing to spend.
What the result cannot decide
The tool cannot determine the best character, guarantee a code reward, predict future prices, estimate undocumented income rates, or know whether a skin, Prestige, pass level, or deal is currently available.

What does the Shard calculator calculate?
It subtracts your protected reserve from the entered balance, divides the spendable amount by the current cost, rounds down to whole purchases, and shows the remainder and target shortfall.
Does the calculator know current character prices?
No. Prices are update-sensitive, so you must enter the value shown in the current live character or purchase panel. Archived guide numbers are not inserted automatically.
Does it predict rewards, rarity, or hidden odds?
No. It performs budget arithmetic only and makes no prediction about code availability, quest rewards, drops, skins, pass progress, future deals, or unpublished systems.
Does it connect to my Roblox account?
No. It requires no login and cannot read your Shards or inventory. The result depends only on the values you type into the browser.
Does an affordable result mean I should buy the character?
No. Affordability is only one constraint. Verify the current profile, decide which roster job it fills, compare an accessible alternative, and keep the reserve needed for future plans.
